PRAYER ALERT 2: SIMPLY MOBILIZING AFRICA CONFERENCE
Dear SM Family,
Greetings!
Thank you for joining with us in praying for the success of this first ever SM Conference in Africa.
To recap: This SM Conference will cover the West/Central and Eastern parts of Africa, where the vast majority of Africa's unreached are located. God's strategy for world mission has always been HIS PEOPLE, and the closer HIS PEOPLE are to the unreached, geographically and culturally, the better! The mobilization of the Church in West/Central and Eastern Africa is therefore crucial in reaching this highest concentration of Africa's unreached peoples!
It is our expectation that this Conference will be the catalyst to a significant increase in mobilization, resulting in the greatest harvest ever in this region of Africa!
Please join us in praying for the following:
Powerful Presence of the Holy Spirit
Above all we want delegates to have an 'encounter with God'. Please pray for His presence to be very evident and the Conference leaders to be sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit!
Youth Kairos
Continue to pray for Bianca of SM International, together with Christy from South Africa, as they will be conducting a facilitators training and Youth Kairos course in Ghana the week prior to the Conference (12-15 July). There will be young people from six countries trained to run the YK course and to grow Youth Kairos in their own countries.
God Inspired Networking Connections
Please pray for 'God connections' among delegates. Pray for conversations to be led by the Holy Spirit and strategic partnerships to be forged, resulting in meaningful mobilization and cross-cultural mission endeavors following the Conference.
Organizing and Ministry Team
Continue to pray for Ebenezer, Daniel and his team in Ghana, who are organizing the Conference. Please also pray for the Ministry Team who will be delivering the plenary sessions.
Conference Delegates
The number of registered delegates has already risen to 200 with more to follow as the excitement and interest in the Conference grows. Delegates will be coming from Egypt, Sudan, Kenya, Rwanda, Ethiopia, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Uganda, Gambia, Nigeria, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, and now also from Sierra Leone and Liberia.
Finance
We have had a wonderful response to the Conference budget with just over two thirds of the total budget raised, which was divided between SM international and the SM Africa Global Region. Please pray for the remaining third of the balance to come in over these next two weeks!
Finally, pray for God's sovereign will to be fulfilled over all aspects of the Conference.
